Clutter of Thought Creates Pollution in the Astral

Clutter of Thought Creates Pollution in the Astral

I’m often dismayed by the images and ‘news’ stories that friends share with me via email or social media, often with the comment “This makes me SICK!” or “This has to STOP!” – all the while they are lifting the horror up for me to see and share in. Yes, there is much wrong in the world that needs to be ‘fixed’ – but I don’t think I have to experience the horror to know that.  Recently, I had the pleasure to read a seance transcript typed by my friend Maryse Locke, featuring the communication of the renowned Sir Oliver Lodge (the medium shall remain anonymous). I reprint it here, with her permission, in hopes that others will understand at least one reason why sharing or glorifying the horrific is not a good thing.

Sir Oliver Lodge (1851-1940) Lodge was professor of physics at University of London and at the University of Liverpool. He was elected fellow of the Royal Society in 1887, awarded the Albert Medal of the Royal Society of Arts for his pioneer work in wireless telegraphy, and knighted in 1902. He was president of the British Association in 1913. His great reputation as a physicist was established by his research in electricity, thermoelectricity, and in wireless (radio) and theories of matter and ether. -- courtesy adcguides.com

Sir OLIVER LODGE : Let me change the subject. I want to talk about the astral. Back when I was working, we were a little more involved with astral phenomena than you are at the present time. And the astral plane was a good deal cleaner than it is at present. It didn’t have all the clutter that it has now.

SITTER : Why is that so?

Sir OLIVER LODGE : There are several reasons. First of all, the general public is less restrained and more emotional than in my time. There is more emphasis on expressing feelings, especially uncomfortable ones. All of this happens on the astral plane, and as you know, physical people contribute to the quality of the astral every bit as much as those who have passed on. So the emotionalism in the world today has become a serious problem.

Another contributing factor is the tremendous growth of public interest in psychic phenomena and magical practices. In my day, “the masses” were not that interested in psychic matters — they were afraid of them and stayed away from them. Even the people who did investigate the psychic did so with great caution and prudence. Nowadays, many people embrace these phenomena almost too readily — without a HEALTHY RESPECT for their complexity or potential danger. As a result, some groups actually lust for psychic experiences, without regard for their type of quality. This psychic lust energizes all kinds of low quality astral phenomena.

SITTER : There seem like very serious problem.

Sir OLIVER LODGE : Not as disturbing as another of your modern phenomena – the growth of mass communications such as television, radio, movies, and the like. There are many good qualities in all of these media, but the public seems to be attracted most strongly to the elements that are SHOCKING, MORBID, TITILLATING, and DISGUSTING. I don’t want to sound like a prude, but I am greatly aware that the typical public reaction to these forms of entertainment – and sometimes even to what is presented as news – has been perhaps the greatest contributing factor to ASTRAL CLUTTER.

SITTER : Are you implying that there were less shocking, morbid, titillating, and disgusting events in your day than now, or just less awareness of them?

Sir OLIVER LODGE : Neither. The key factor is the public’s PASSIVE REACTION to what it sees and hears. People are almost automatically reflecting into the astral the UGLINESS around them. This can be seen, for example, in the recent fascination with disaster movies. As people watch these films, their emotional reactions become mirrors of the shocking and destructive themes and images in the movies themselves. As these reactions accumulate collectively, they become virtually A TIDAL WAVE OF DISASTER ON THE ASTRAL PLANE.

SITTER : Do you mean that much of the clutter on the astral plane is really the reflection of people’s unenlightened reactions to physical events.

Sir OLIVER LODGE : Yes, and your mass media has made awareness of tragic and shocking events, whether real or fictional, much more accessible to the general public than in my day.

Even something as commonplace as the popular music of today adds to the clutter of the astral. When you have millions of people feeding themselves on modern jazz and rock and roll, which are more violence and lust set to sound than they are genuine music, the astral problem that results influences not only the perceptions of psychics, but the feelings of ordinary people as well.

Thank you for allowing me to share this, Maryse.

From Maryse: Susan, No problem. Go ahead for sharing it. The Spirits use the Lightworkers who will reach the greatest number of minds. The people need to be educated about these subtle energies like the thoughts that are not spiritual and the emotions and their various consequences in the astral (health, psychosomatic diseases beginning in the astral mental body before manifesting in the physical, grey collective consciousness, pollution, attraction of entities dwelling in the same low vibrations,…) If the people do not practice the management of their emotions, they can not stay serene even in the middle of their family.
